Class instructor
Warren Ashford: A 20 year student of tabla, Started his training in the 70's at the Ali Akbar Khan College of Music in San Rafael California under the late Pandit Jnan Prakesh Ghosh and Ustad Zakir Hussain. He later continued his training in San Francisco under the late Ustad Allah Rakha. Warren has been teaching Tabla for several years and continues to study with Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee and many other noted artists
Our goal is to provide the community with a source for learning the tabla and it’s role in North Indian Hindustani classical music.
Teaching this rich heritage, we are dedicated to giving back service to the music, our gurus, and the local community.
We would like to invite interested musicians, beginning and advanced students to come anytime and participate in learning the music and tradition of tabla, we hope it can improve your music skills and enrich your lives as it has ours.
