Don Lawson

My name is Don Lawson, I'm the lead singer for Bluestone. My musical history started in 1975, that's when I was a rodee for the band THE BITS & PIECES, that's where I learned a lot about the music bus, from my mentor & good friend Tim McManas. Tim got me my first guitar in 1980.That's when I started to learn how to play. For 9 years, I just goofed around. I was what you call a closet player. One day at a party someone said: Don your pretty good, why don't you start playing the bar seen. I said: Righttttt!!! Ok!!. Some time after that I went to school to learn how to drive a 18-wheeler. I ran as an owner operator for a year. I decided to get out of the industry. It took a few months to get back to normal, and that's when I decided to put a single act together. This took about a year. In June of 1992 I started my musical career. In 1996 I got a call from the drummer of FREE WHEELIN he said, he heard my vocals and wanted to know if I wanted to start a band? I said, sure why not. It took a year of practicing, finding the right guys, the right music, and the right sound. Finally in 1997 Bluestone was out playing. As of now we're still going strong, sounding better than ever, and still kickin ass.
