The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is a book in wich the main character is a 13 year old girl from a rich family. The book mostly takes place in the 1800's on a ship heading for America. The Crew and Captain Jaggery warn her that the boat is no place for a girl, yet Charlotte's father gave specific instructions. Charlotte learns how to be a sailer and befriends some of the crew, but when the captain's first mate is murdered, the blame goes to her. Will Charlotte be killed for a murder she didn't commit?
