                    t h e  b o o n e  g i r l s Debby and her sisters (Cherry, Lindy & Laury) debuted as "The Boone Girls" during the early 1970's, singing "What The World Needs Now,"  when touring Japan with their father, Pat Boone.  After making several albums as a family, "The Boone Girls" - later shortened to "The Boones" -  recorded a few Christian music albums of their own - even after Debby's success with "You Light Up My Life."
