Chapter Five
The next morning, AJ woke up startled. He looked around, and for a minute, he couldn't remember where he was. He looked down and saw Mikayla sleeping beside him, and he smiled. He rolled up on one side and softly moved her hair off of her face so he could watch her sleep. She opened her eyes and smiled a sleepy smile.
"I hope you slept well," she said, running her hand over his cheek. "I don't usually let people stay over, but you sounded like you needed to."
"I did. Thanks. I don't know what was wrong with me. I feel fine today. I guess that's what a good night's sleep will do for you, right?" AJ said, placing his hand on hers. She sat up and hopped off the bed, heading for the bathroom. She put her long hair up in a ponytail and started to brush her teeth. When she looked up in the mirror, she saw him standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed. He had an amused smile on his face.
"Do you have any idea how beautiful you are?" he asked.
"Oh yeah, really beautiful... puffy morning eyes, scruffy hair. I'm a beauty alright," she laughed. He smiled and shook his head.
"Um, AJ, I really hate to cut our visit short, but I have some things to do today, OK?" she said, her mind turning to the adventure she had planned. She smiled when she thought about her date for today. If there was one boy she could ever love, it would be this one. He was her heart, and she'd do anything in the world for him.
"OK, but can I see you tonight?" he asked. "You know me and the guys will be going out of town in a few days and we won't be back for at least a week. I don't think I can wait that long to see you again."
She had forgotten about the trip they were going on. She sure would miss them. Of course, there were other things she could do, and other boys she could entertain, but it just wasn't the same.
"I'm sorry, lover, I can't tonight," she said, thinking about her promise to Kevin. Damn, her life was complicated. "Maybe tomorrow?"
"OK, tomorrow," he said. He walked over to her and started to kiss her. She put her hand on his chest and stopped him.
"Uh, nope. Not today, beautiful man." she said, ducking under his arm and stripping her clothes off, then climbing in the shower. He watched her, his mouth falling open.
"Oh come on now," she said, laughing. "I think we've moved past the point where we feel weird seeing each other naked, don't you? I mean, we've fucked outside in my yard forgodsakes."
"I guess you're right, " he said. "Can I join you in there?"
"No, not today. I'm in a hurry. Manigo, the big guy, will have coffee ready if you want. He'll show you out," she said, her tone was dismissive.
"Uh, OK," he said, not really wanting to leave. But he did as she asked.
*******************************
Mikayla jumped into her new convertible Jaguar, a gift from one of her boys, and headed for the highway. Her adventure today was going to take place at her 400 acre ranch about 50 miles north. She was dressed in her jeans and a T-shirt, and her hair was still pulled back in a ponytail. This is how her boy liked her. Fresh, casual, ready for anything. She popped a CD in, and began to listen to her boys singing All I Have To Give, her favorite. She smiled as she thought of each of them, of the things she loved most about them. AJ... she loved his vulnerability that he tried so hard to hide; oh and those gorgeous brown eyes, with the longest lashes she had ever seen on a man. Nick... she loved his sense of adventure, and his absolute lack of inhibition. Kevin... ah, Kevin... she loved the fact that his heart belonged to her, and that she owned him lock, stock, and barrel. And God, what a body that man had. Her heart fluttered when she thought of Kevin's perfect body. She shook the last thoughts of Kevin from her head as she turned into the driveway of the ranch. Her boy was already there. She saw his BMW parked in the driveway, and she smiled. She stopped, and quickly jumped out to see him.
Brian was leaning against the hood of his car watching Mikayla's horses. When he heard the car pull up behind him, he turned around. As soon as he saw her, a wide smile crossed his face, and his blue eyes began to sparkle. She ran to him and threw her arms around his neck, laughing.
"Brian, it's been so long! I've missed you. Don't ever stay away that long again!" she said, hugging him tightly.
"I know Kay," he said. He always called her Kay. He said Mikayla was just too formal. "I missed you, too. I promise I won't do it again."
Mikayla looked into his sweet blue eyes and wanted to kiss him so badly, but she knew she shouldn't. Things had changed since their last encounter, and she didn't want to make him uncomfortable. He had a wife now. Her heart sank when she thought about this little detail, and she looked away. He saw the sadness creep into her eyes and he turned her face gently toward him again.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, concerned. He was afraid he had done something wrong.
"Nothing, Bri. Let's get going," she said, smiling. But Brian could still see sadness in her eyes. She took his hand and they walked to the stable. The horses were already saddled and ready to go, so they hopped on and began to ride out onto a trail. Along the way, they talked about what was going on in their lives, and what their plans were for the future. Mikayla noticed that he never mentioned Leighanne, so she didn't bring up the subject of his marriage. After about an hour, they reached a small lake in the middle of the woods, and they stopped. Mikayla had called ahead to her housekeeper and had a picnic lunch taken to the lake so it would be there when they got there.
Brian laughed when he saw the blanket and picnic basket sitting out under a tree.
"You think of everything, don't you?" he said, dismounting from the horse.
"I try," she said. "You know, that's my job... to think of everything."
"You know, I've never really understood what your 'job' is, Kay. What do you do? How do you get all this money?" he said, his sweet Southern accent melting her heart.
"Let's just say I'm independently wealthy and leave it at that, OK?" she laughed. She didn't want to go into details about her very, very rich former husband and his untimely death in a Nevada whorehouse.
"OK, OK. Always a woman of mystery, aren't you, Kay?" he said, helping her down from her horse.
"I guess so," she answered. They walked over to the blanket and sat down. He opened the bottle of wine and poured two glasses.
"Ya know, it's really hot today," he said, smiling a mischevious little smile. "And that lake looks awfully cool. We should go for a swim, don't ya think?"
"Oh really?" she said, raising her eyebrow and smiling. "But Brian, we don't have any swimsuits." Her voice was thick with sarcasm.
"Never stopped us before, did it?" he said pulling off his shirt.
"No, I guess you're right," she said, pulling her shirt off. They undressed quickly down to their underwear and jumped into the water. They played like children , splashing each other and pushing each other under water. After several minutes, Mikayla felt Brian's arms encircle her waist, and he pulled her close. Her heart was beating a mile a minute as she waited to see what he would do next. She wasn't about to make a move on him until he gave her the OK. They stared into each other's eyes, then he kissed her lips, very gently and very slowly. She responded by placing her arms around his neck and returning his kiss. Their tongues entermingled, and their kisses became deeper, more passionate. She could feel his hands lightly tracing over her back, and she got a chill. He ran his hands down her back, over her ass, and onto her thighs, pulling them up and around his waist. He picked her up and carried her over to the blanket under the tree. He lay down beside her and kissed her again, his hands, then his mouth roaming all over her body. He slid her bra strap down her shoulder, and pulled it down, revealing one of her breasts. He cupped her breast in his hand and bent his head to lightly suck her hard nipple. She drew in a deep breath and arched her back as she ran her hand up his back and into his wet hair. He looked up and smiled at her.
"Brian, we don't have to do..." she started, but he silenced her with a deep kiss. She could feel his hardness against her leg, straining the material of the wet shorts. She felt like a teenager again, being naughty with a boy that she shouldn't be with. Her heart was beating so fast, she would swear that it was going to beat right out of her chest. Brian reached behind her and unclasped her bra, removing it and tossing it aside. She sat up and helped him remove his wet shorts, and her eyes traveled to the "mark" on his lower stomach.
"You know, you could always have that removed, Brian," she said softly. "You know I never considered you my servant anyway. You've always had my heart. You don't need me like that."
"I know I could, but I won't ever do it, Kay," he said smiling. He ran his hand over her cheek. "Every time I see it, it reminds me of you. And I don't ever want to NOT be reminded of you. I love being with you."
She smiled and began to kiss him again, her lips trailing down his neck, then his chest, where she couldn't help but see the long thin scar that could have cost him his life. Her eyes filled with tears when she thought of it. She pushed the memory aside, and her lips made their way down to his hard stomach. She grasped his hardness in her hand and began to run her tongue up and down the length of it, savoring him like a lolly pop. She opened her mouth and allowed him inside, sucking and licking just like she knew he enjoyed. His hands went to her hair, and he took the clasp out, allowing it to fall around her face. He leaned his back against the tree and closed his eyes, enjoying every second of this. He knew she was enjoying herself, too. He vowed that he would never let himself go so long without her company again. He could feel his climax beginning, and he could barely contain himself. He tried to stop her deliciously wonderful blowjob, because he wanted to make love to her properly. She refused to stop until his hot semen burst forth, pulsing into her eager mouth. She sat up on her knees in front of him and reached for her glass of wine, which was still cold. She smiled at him, a sweet contented smile and sat down with her back against his chest. He wrapped her in his arms and kissed her shoulder.
"You know, you didn't have to do that," he said. "I wanted to really make love to you."
"I know you did, Brian," she said quietly. "That's why I did what I did. I don't want you to ever regret anything you do with me."
He smiled and held her tightly. "Mikayla, I would never regret anything about you."
"I know, Bri, and that's the way I want it to stay, OK?" She turned to face him, and their eyes locked.
"You know, I'm jealous of her," she said semi-seriously.
"You know I only married her cause I knew you wouldn't ever want to marry me," he said, smiling.
"Oh, now you're bullshitting," she laughed, standing up and gathering their clothes.
"OK, you caught me. But I do want to see you again, Kay. I miss you."
"We'll see each other again soon. I promise."
