Greetings from the Christensen family!!!
We have been blessed with the marriages of two daughters, Brigitte and Shelley, this year! We are grateful for their good choices and the addition of two great sons-in-law. We coudn't have asked for better men. Read on!
Lisa continues in her job as an archivist at the
University of California in San Diego in their Special
Collections Library. This has been a good move for
her. Who can complain about living in San Diego, 10
minutes from the beach? Living in a bigger city has
been interesting though and Lisa has quickly learned
the ropes about where everything is. She likes her
job, loves her ward and is never hurting for something
to do. She's only an hour and a half from Shelley,
which is nice. She serves in the temple and in her
ward as a member of the Relief Society Presidency. Overall her life is good and she has been blessed as she's gone out on her own.
Shelley was married in October and makes her home with husband Steve Jordan in Redlands, CA. (I'll try to get some pictures on the website soon) She still works at ESRI and Steve works for the San Bernadino Fire Department. They are curently enjoying house hunting in that area. They are now part of a family ward and their bishop is one of Kerry's former mission companions. Small world!
Kiel continues to work at Costco's TIre Center. He is pursuing (slowly) his education in chemical engineering locally until he can transfer to a university. He has an active social life and loves his car...
Brittany is home with us now and works as a surgical assistant to an oral surgeon. She had her fifth knee surgery this past week and is recuperating again. The graft they used last time didn't quite work so they had to repeat the procedure. She enjoys working for the doctor and still hopes to go into radiology.
Brigitte and her husband, Tyler Brown, now make their home in Orem, UT as Tyler pursues his education and begins a career. We had an opportunity to meet Tyler's family and they are delightful and interesting. David, Laura and Lindsay are delightful and the brothers are... interesting. Seriously, it was wonderful to have them all here and it was a great day in our lives. I put some pictures of the day in the slideshow section.
Celia is a senior in high school this year. She has been a very concientious student and will likely attend BYIU Provo in the fall. SHe is the viola section leader again this year (3rd year since she took up the instrument) and is busy, busy, busy. I think she will be happy when high school is over.
Trice and
Kerry are busy with work, church callings, school activities, and everything else. All the various activities just seem to absorb all the time. I'm sure it is the same for all of you too. That's about it... We hope that you are happy and appreciate all the blessings of life that we enjoy.
Enjoy the ride! Have fun!
Kerry, Patrice, Lisa, Shelley, Kiel, Brittany, Brigitte, and Celia
