- OF LOTHLORIEN (1987)
For winds and percussion.
Grand Ledge High School Symphonic Winds, Michael Kaufman,
conducting.
Les's Recording Service, cassette No. CN 1209, (1988), LP & CD.
Of Lothlorien was my second LORD OF THE RINGS-based work for wind
ensemble.
The beauty of Lady Galadriel and the people of Lothlorien was such as
to
suggest another Tolkien character to exploit, this time in a quieter
mood and
for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association in memory of
Ronald B.
Lux and Holly Lu Harrington-Lux. And again, I have used voices, a male
choir
(or recorded choir) singing the plainsong "Absolution After Mass."
Feb, 2003 Dr. H O Reed and Dr. Bertha Tijerina-Hastings
