Julia Roberts


Julia was born Julie Fiona Roberts at 12:16 A.M. on October 28, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia to Walter and Betty Lou Roberts. As a child, she wanted to become a veterinarian, up until she was approached by a modeling agent at the age of 13. Her brother Eric has some success in Hollywood, so she decided to give it a try. She changed her name to Julia when she discovered there was another actress named Julie Roberts. She got her first big break in the movie Mystic Pizza in 1988. Her biggest movie to date is 1990's Pretty Woman, in which she co-stars with Richard Gere. She got an Oscar nomination and took home the People's Choice award for Favorite Actress for her role in this film. On June 25, 1993, Julia married country singer Lyle Lovett. They divorced nearly two years later on March 22, 1995. She has become involved with UNICEF charities and has traveled to various countries such as India and Haiti to promote goodwill. In 1999, Julia reunited with Richard Gere in the blockbuster hit Runaway Bride. Julia has become one of the most popular and sought-after actresses in Hollywood today.
