The fire-headed comedic genius Lucille Ball first burst onto the television screen on October 15, 1951 with the most successful sitcom ever, I Love Lucy. Lucille and husband Desi Arnaz starred as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, who lived in an apartment owned by Fred and Ethel Mertz. Watching any episode of I Love Lucy will give anyone the biggest laugh they've had in a long time. Even though the cast of the show is no longer with us, they left behind a lasting legacy by forever changing the face of comedic television.
