Celebrity 2002 Tour Review

Ok, so i wrote this review about 2 weeks AFTER the concert...so i forgot some/alot of stuff. Plus i wrote this for my dead journal and i was in a rush so i left ALOT of funny/cute things out. One of these days i'll get a review #2 for this concert and put in all that stuff...but for the mean time here's a quick run down.

*NSYNC April 15, 2002 @ The Fleet Center in Boston, MA

Ok, so i wake up around 11:30 or so and it's the day of my concert. That's the first thought that runs through my mind and I immediatly become pumped up! Around 12 or so my friend Sarah, who is also going to the same concert but not with me, comes over and we hang out until about 2 or so. Both of us totally hyper and excited. (note: Last year i went to the PopOdyssey Tour with her on June 1, 2001) So once she leaves i hop in the shower while i'm blasting my *NSYNC music and i continue to get ready.

At 2:45 my mom and I leave for our 45 minute drive to Boston, but not without a quick stop at the bank and then at Wal Mart where i bought 6, yes 6, disposable cameras for the concert. Once all that is over with we get in the car and get on the highway. The minute i got in the car i put my Celebrity CD on and my mom and I blasted the CD while i sang (or attempted to ) and ATTEMPTED to dance in my seat. We listend to the whole CD (well i skipped Gone but thats ok, i'm tired of that song) and then i put in No Strings Attached (NSA) and only got through "Bye Bye Bye" and like 1 minute of "It's Gonna Be Me" before we pull up to the Fleet Center at 4 P.M.

So after we park we decide to just wander and do whatever and i'm sitting there at the fence and i'm looking around and I see *NSYNC's tour bus! My mom wanted to continue walking and I just told her that I wanted to look at the buses. So she lets me and then after a few minutes we continue walking and we go by the STAR 93.7 people who are still setting up all there stuff and have yet to open the gates. So we head inside and i see these people with green wrist bands and i found out that they were for the soundcheck party. I then notice that there's people giving them out, but just i as I was about to ask for one...the people all ran out. So i was like "What the fuck! I was one person away from getting in! Ugh this sucks...oh well i'll just continue to wander."

I wandered for a little bit and let that whole thing just brush off my shoulders cause it's only a soundcheck party so...*shrugs* oh well. It's not like it's the end of the world.

So after standing around for about an hour i decide I have to go to the bathroom. Well when i get to the bathroom there's this HUGE line and i'm just like nuh uh there's no way in hell i'm standing in that line, it'll be tomorrow by the time i get to go. My mom and I then head across the street to Mickey D's and decide to use their bathrooms. So i do and talk to some people who were waiting in the short line. So then it's all good and I walk back across the street and head back over to my favorite part of that damn fence (in the hour before hand i'd walked by that stupid thing about 5 times seriously)and a bus had just pulled in. So people started getting off and then i saw P. Diddy! It was so cool! I was like "Ahhh!!" Then this stupid mother kept asking a security person which bus *NSYNC was in (if they were in one) and he wouldn't tell her so she's like "i'll give you $20!" I started laughing. Who the hell would think that $20 could actually get them that info? i mean come on...even i'm not that desperate to know which bus is their's cause quite frankly I don't care.

So eventually i get tired of standing there (it was cold and i had no coat!) and I decide to head back inside. On the way i noticed that STAR 93.7 had opened up their little thingy outside so i headed over to the souvenier spot and bought a T-shirt, Hoodie, Beenie Hat, Program, Stickers, and a bumper sticker. So i'm happy now and my mom and I head over to the door thingy to wait until they let people in to go to their seats. Now I had Premium Club seats so we had our own special little entrance. As i stood in line from 5:30-6:30 i got to talk to alot of cool *NSYNC fans and their parents. At 6:15 they opened the door and let us enter the little place where they scan your ticket. I'm first in line so i'm just leaning there next to the ticket dude for about 15 mins before they finally let us up. My legs are starting to get tired by now and I just wanna get to my seat. So after wandering around my mom and I finally figure out where we're supposed to go and we get to yet ANOTHER line and we have to wait another 15 mins before they let us up. So i just talk to some more people until they let us up and then I headed to my seat. I was in Section 109, Row CC, Seat 4! Ya! woohoo!

I was AMAZED at how close i was to them when i go to my seat a little before 7. I mean they were less than 40 feet away. A waitress type person came over and took our order for food(nachos and a soda that i shared with my mom. that was the first and last thing i ate that day). I got some money from my mom to buy a blue glowstick and soon the opening acts came out.

OPENING ACTS:

Triple Image - well they totally sucked ass. They're like these 3 blonde sisters who sound like chipmunks. seriously.

Not So Boy Band - LMAO!! hahaha! oh they were great! seriously! now that right there is some good quality entertainment. They serisouly were good and i enjoyed there performance. I liked it...although i'm not sure i'd wanna see old guys thrusting again *shudders at thought* but other than that they were good!

Tony Lucca - He was really good. I was one of the few people who were standing and dancing to him. I wanted to go get his autograph after his performance but there was no way i was going to miss P. Diddy. But Tony, man he's good! He's talented too! Hahaha! ya'll should check out his webstite sometime where you can hear sound sound clips and what not. www.tonylucca.com

P. Diddy - This dude serisouly ROCKED!!! He got the crowd SO pumped up and SO wild 'n' crazy it's not even funny!! It was great! I was singing along, dancing, screaming! Wow...i think he was the highlight of the Opening Acts! He was on for about an hour or so.

After P.Diddy got off I began looking for my online friend Summer. I'd never met her before but i knew she was in section 21 (diagonally down to my right) and had on a baby blue cowboy hat. So after a few mins i find her and she's only like 10 feet away from me. After a min or two i finally got her attention and we just started waving at each other and laughing! it was so cool! hahaha! Hi Summer!!

*NSYNC:

Ok, they finally came out after doing this cute little thingy where they didn't know their mic's were on. When they came out they did "Do Your Thing". Now i've never been a big fan of this song, but i am now! Yeah!

See...now i would give you a total run down of the concert...but it was like week ago and I have a really bad memory so i can't give you the order of songs or even all. I'll just randomly say stuff here.

They did Bye Bye Bye after Do Your Thing...and then i don't know what came after that. I know they did sing eventually It's Gonna Be Me, Up Against The Wall, Tearin Up My Heart, For The Girl, God Must Have Spent, Celebrity, Sailing, Tell Me Tell Me Baby, No Strings Attached, This I Promise You, I Drive Myself Crazy, I Want You Back(blues version...was so awesome! loved the end when JC hit that note! wow...that was just an amazing moment) Gone, Girlfriend, did some Beatles Songs(She Love You, I wanna Hold Your Hand, Hey Jude[chris sounded cute], Twist and Shout[wow...them doing the twist...HAHAHAHA]), um they did some motown songs (My Girl, The Way You Do The Things You Do, and some other song that i dunno what it's called). Now i KNOW they closed the show with Pop.

So i think up there i got about all the songs. Not necessarily in order cause i couldn't remember the EXACT order.

Let me tell you though...i never thought they could out do the POT but they did. I loved the more intimate feel, their voices were tight, dancing tight, they sat and talked to the crowd for like 10 mins (they do a lil Improv. here. almost all if it is not planned. they just talk), and JC smiled and pointed at me (or near me...pretty sure it was me though) cause I was just standing there (only person in my section standing) singing and dancing and what not...yeah...that was cool. Lol! too bad it wasn't Lance though. That fucker (hehehe...i mean that in a nice way) was on the OTHER side of the stage the whole time...but at least JC was on my side most of the time.

They had a stage that dropped down from the ceiling...thats when they did the Beatles Song and Motown Songs...and this cool jazzy/blues likeersion of Sailing! i liked that! it was cool! They also had ropes that dropped down from the ceiling also and they swung out and over the crowd. I was kinda hoping one of them would fall...just to see what would happen! Actually i know what would happen...the fans would end up killing them!

Now there was WAY too much Justin for my liking. He was the only one who had some solo time on stage (which sucked) and there was just WAY too much of him on the screens. I mean seriously i think i would be happy if he left the damn group! i'm just ARG! sick of him...lol! naw. it wouldn't be cool if he left cause he is part of what makes *NSYNC, nsync. I'm just sick of seeing HIS face everywhere, and how most people basically think that he IS nsync and the others dont exist and are replaceable...which is NOT true! non of them are replaceable. Just...Justin is getting on my nerves lately and personally i don't think he sings as well as JC. He can sing and sing well, but his voice is too nasally and whiny for me. I can only take it for so long (like *ahem* gone...i can't stand that song anymore! AHHHH! i think i just heard it way too many times). But anyhoot...there was just too much Justin for me and not enough Chris, Joey, Lance, and JC time! :):):)

But they ALL sounded awesome and tight and i LOVED the concert none the less! I was sad when it was all over! i'm going to be nsync-less for 8 months now!! noooooo!! well...nsync as a group. This sucks. lol.

*sighs* now i have a headache and i have 6 rolls of film from the concert in front of me that i need to write on the back of. so i'm gonna go for now! LATERZ!!!

Much love and peace,

Brittany

p.s. - encase i didn't clear this up...NSYNC ROCKED AND THE SHOW WAS ABSOLUTLEY(sp?) AMAZING!
