Bio of the Band...
SIGHdEFECT has been a band since late 2001. They've already made a huge name for themselves localy. The band started out with Matt Waples on drums. He's been playin for years and has a very heavy and loud style. Matt later joined up with Justin Langlois on vocals. His "Hate against the world" lyrics are loud and powerful but at times can be soft and melodic but don't be fooled. Now the band was only half complete. Enter Adam "Smitty" Smith on the guitar. Adam's crazy/heavy playing mixed with Van Halen style whamy diving fit perfectly. Now only one thing was missing: The crazy antics of Jason Bourcier on the five string bass. I don't know exactly how to explain Jay...just don't look him directly in the eyes....... The heavy, funk, rap, hip-hop, grunge and good ol' rock n roll like SIGHdEFECT have played a hand full of concerts including opening for Sonic Union recording artists Chore(who can be seen on Much Music's Loud). Some of SIGHdEFECT's major influences include bands such as: The Deftones, Slipknot, Nirvana, System of a Down, Metallica, Van Halen, Staind, S.T.P., Limp Bizkit, Misfits, Coal Chamber, Pantera, Eminem and other greats. SIGHdEFECT have a unique sound that you MUST experience live in concert(check your local listings). They are currently working on their debut album (not yet titled). It should be available at the end of May 2002.
