APRIL 27th - GAME #25 vs Miami Marlins (11-13)
The Mets play the rubber game of the series with Dillon Gee (1-1) vs Tom Koehler (2-1). Mets starting pitchers went 11 straight starts, dating back to April 14, allowing three runs or fewer. That ended on Saturday, when Miami scored six off Jenrry Mejia.

Dillon Gee wins his second game with an eight inning 3 hit shutout of the Marlins. Mets defense turned two nice double plays to stifle two Miami rallies. Daniel Murphy got another stolen base to extend his streak to 27 straight attempts without getting caught. Lucas Duda dropped an opposite field double into the left field corner to score the first Mets run in the second. David Wright knocked in Curtis Granderson with a double before Chris Young hit his second homer of the year to left to make it 4-0.
A delightful pitching performance today by Dillon Gee. I sat at my desk and enjoyed the blanking of the Marlins. I even rode the exercise bike a few innings I was so inspired by the Mets performance. With all this winning more than not, I'm not quite sure how to take it all in. Like most Mets fans, I expect a general collapse any time now but riding the wave through April is great so far. I need to obtain a new TV before the next home series against the Phillies May 9, 10, 11th. It's the wife's birthday weekend and I think she would love a new large flat screen TV to watch Mets gam... um,... American Idol on!
