Ryan Vogelsong only gave up two Mets hits, the first wasn't until the 6th inning. Lucas Duda's 20th home run in the eighth was the only other hit. A decent pitching performance by Jon Niese but not enough to keep the Mets in this game.

The second game in a row that I missed watching. I had to work overtime as we had to generate power because of the third straight day of 100+ heat in the valley. But I got to listen to most of the short 2 hr 6 minute game through my phone with Howie Rose and Josh Lewin while in the control room. When I got home around 7:30 my precious nineteen month old granddaughter was visiting for the evening so Grandpa had better things to do than watch a game I already knew the outcome of.
