Another pitching duel that unfortunately ended in a Mets loss. Rafael Montero pitched a fine performance but was out pitched by the Cubs Jake Arrieta. Although the Mets were able to rally to tie the game in the eighth, a home run given up on the first pitch of the ninth by Jenrry Mejia put the Cubs ahead to stay. The Mets offense again only managed 4 hits for the third straight game although they won the first two.

I spent another lazy Sunday watching on the couch after church and lunch on the way home. I sat inside under the cool air conditioner while the temperature outside was mid 90's. Tomorrow's start time is 9am so I get to get up and watch a game while eating breakfast!
