The Mets were able to beat the Nationals at Citi Field for the first time in more than 14 months. After losing 12 straight games in New York to Washington, the Mets were able to hang on and see victory against the top team in the Majors. It wasn't a pretty win but a W none the less.
I spent this hot day working around the house. Didn't watch too intensely, I was waiting for the rally that would put the Nats ahead but it never came. After the victory, I had a cool beverage or two on the porch, listening to music and enjoying the warm evening. Summer is almost gone.
