Game one of Skid's season at Citi. September 15th - GAME #151 vs Miami Marlins (72-76)
The Mets battle for third place with the Fish. ROY candidate Jacob deGrom (8-6) vs Jarred Cosart (13-9)

72-79

The Mets blow another lead late in the game and lose their 3rd straight. Jacob deGrom tied a Major League record by striking out the first eight Marlins to start the game. deGrom collected 13 k's in 7 innings but ended up with a no decision. Pitcher Matt Harvey, who underwent arm surgery last year and has missed all season, threw off the Citi Field mound in a simulated 3 inning game. He was clocked at 95 mph on his fastball. Hopefully he will be back in form for 2015.

It was exciting to watch the crowd get into deGrom's strikeouts. Not much else to cheer about. The Mets need to win 3 of the last 11 games to best their W/L record of the last two years (74). It is still so nice to be home when the games start each afternoon. It will be weird to not watch on TV next season.

"We've talked about it a little bit, next year should be a really fun year." -Jacob deGrom
