Let's Go Mets! OCTOBER 18 - NLCS GAME #2 vs Chicago Cubs

Noah Syndergaard (9-7 3.24) vs Jake Arrieta (22-6 1.77)

Lets Go Mets! A big 3 run first inning against Cy Young candidate Jake Arrieta. The Mets never looked back. Daniel Murphy's shot made him the eighth player in Major League history to homer in four straight postseason games, and the first in Mets history to homer five times in a single postseason. With five October homers, Murphy also matched Mike Piazza's franchise record for most career postseason long balls. Syndergaard went 5.2 innings giving up only 3 hits, 1 run, walked 1 while striking out 9 Cubs batters.

Ticket Cost: $140
Time of game: 3:07
Attendance: 44,502

Game #2 same view

It was colder than yesterday's game, [46 degrees at first pitch] I bundled up even more for game #2. I wore thick wool socks, my hoodie sweatshirt, my big jacket, a ski cap and a scarf. I stayed pretty warm wearing all that plus standing up and sitting down all game. My phone was showing me that it was a nice and sunny 71 degrees back home in California but I would not want to be anywhere else than right here at Citi.

OUCH! d'Arnaud hit the apple with his HR yesterday

Before the game the Home Run Apple was sporting a bandage where Travis d'Arnaud's home run bounced off the iconic fruit. I tried to get a good picture but couldn't with my phone. The ball park was rockin' again as the Mets scored 3 runs early with the help of Murphy's 4th home run in 4 games. Freddie, AKA The Riddler, was again sitting two rows in front of me and our hands were warm from high fives.

It was frickin' cold!

My postseason tickets do not give me access to the Delta Club behind home plate. Jerry Seinfeld was in his booth and I saw later that super Cubs fan Bill Murray was in the house too. However after the game my friends that work in the Delta club allow me to slip in and exit through the underground exit. One of my favorite people, Tom, had another Guest Services guy take a photo of us together for him (I already have one of us together) and all of them call me the Mets good luck charm.

After the game I sat in my car listening to IRON MAIDEN for about 30 minutes while everyone slowly drove out of the exits. Seat heaters in my Chrysler are a life saver! I'm hoping my next home game is World Series game #3.
