Lets Go Mets! Washington continued their dominance over the Mets at Citi Field. An error by SS Wilmer Flores on a potential double play grounder led to the Nationals taking the lead and never looking back. The Mets hitters were again absent. Balls that were in for hits last week are now hit right at fielders. Lucas Duda continued his hot hitting with a 2 for 3 day, raising his batting average to .325 with 12 RBI's.

View from today's seat

After a week away from Citi Field, it felt a bit different. The weather was colder, there were less fans, and the excitement of Opening Week was gone. I again got free parking thanks to Citi Card, that's $66 I've saved so far in parking fees. Enough to buy 5 beers, do the math ... five beers. Today's seat was nearly the same as the one from the last Atlanta game. Great close seat, saw "Police Academy" star Steve Guttenburg talking with Mets legend Doc Gooden.

Gooden and Guttenburg

I wasn't feeling 100% today, I woke up early but forced myself to go back to bed. I hadn't even ate before the game. I ended up with a Shake Shack burger and a hot dog. I got a couple good photos of both pitchers today in their leg kicks. The Mets took a 2-0 lead but after that it was all Washington. I experienced my first home loss of the year.
