Another early arrival to beat an expected large crowd, I went to McFadden's before the stadium opened. For the third time at McFadden's I ended up in conversation with the guy next to me. The story comes out. (I do drop hints like "At AT&T in San Francisco it's not like that" or "At home I watch the Las Vegas 51's when they are in Fresno or Sacramento". Tonight I met a guy named Murph who had received 4 free tickets at his work. He was calling all his friends to come join him at the game but since it was a bit last minute, he was having no luck getting some one to share his good fortune. My seat was in the left field corner, Murph's were in the very upper deck. I told him I might come up and visit during the game for a couple innings.

View from the Delta Club

I sat in my seat to watch the Marlins batting practice then decided to get me a water. A Mets employee that I've been in contact with motioned me over and asks if I would like two upgraded seats. Well, sure and I knew someone to share them with. I texted Murph who had just sat down in the upper rim of the stadium telling him to meet me at the top of the Jackie Robinson rotunda. The seats were 14 rows behind the Marlins on-deck circle in the Delta Club, some of the best seats in the house. I had not sat in that area yet and Murph had not previously, we were blown away by the great seats. After 5 games by myself it was nice to chat and share the experience of the Mets with someone during the game. We ended the night watching the after game fireworks show.

Win number Six!

I look up at this every game this week and thank God I am so blessed to be a Mets fan. All my years of dreaming and then planning and here I am watching the Mets win every day. I can't wait to see Wayne Findlay, Michael, and Jay on Monday to get a brief day away from the ballpark.
