Tonight's seat |
While wandering through the Delta Club before the game I ran into Paul, whom I had met before one of the Braves games in April. A very nice guy, we sat at the bar and he bought me a beer while waiting for his son to join him for the game. Paul is an early bird like me, getting to the ballpark way before the third inning (that's a reference to one of my pet peeves). I again sat in the nice seats behind home plate, row 11. I always spend some time talking to the ushers because then they know you and don't ask for your ticket every time you get out of your seat. I always have mine hanging from my neck anyway in my 7Line ticket holder.
Tonight's meal - Pulled Pork Sandwich |
I wore my IRON MAIDEN shirt tonight because comedian Jim Breuer had said on his Facebook video that he would be at the game. If you follow me on Facebook I post a lot of his videos because not only is he a huge Metalhead but an even bigger Mets fan. I saw him on the field before the game and as he entered the stands before the National Anthem, I gave him a shout and the Metal horns "\m/". Of course he doesn't know me but after the Anthem he walked right by my seat. I shook his hand and had a brief talk about my Mets year and my Metal internet radio station. He noticed my MAIDEN shirt and I told him I wore it in honor of him being here tonight. You can see his call on SNY of Curtis Granderson's home run here. |
