June 13 - HOME GAME #34 vs Atlanta Braves (29-32)
Jacob deGrom (7-4) faces Shelby Miller (5-2).The Mets hope to extend their 1.5 game lead in the NL East. I am sitting with the 7Line Army for today's game.

Lets Go Mets! What was a 1-0 pitching duel between Jacob deGrom and Shelby Miller ended in an extra inning loss for the Mets. After a huge 3 run rally in the 7th to chase Miller, the bullpen and defense failed in the 9th, letting the Braves tie the game with two outs. A mishandled grounder by Flores may have been a game ending double play but was only a force out setting the stage for the Braves comeback.
Ticket Cost: $65
Time of game: 3:39

Game #34 view |
My seat was right on the railing by the Big Apple in center field. It was hot today but by the 6th inning we were in the shade of the left field seats. Much nicer in the shade. The weather has been in the mid 80's with high humidity. If you are sitting in the sun it is not very enjoyable but the shade is very comfortable. It usually isn't a problem since most games are at night.

The guy in the orange "Rusty Staub" wig is named Chris. We met opening day with the 7line and I saw him at the Yankee Stadium invasion also. Very nice guy. When we greeted each other today he told me he was driving to Pittsburgh for the 7Line Army and had a seizure on the road. Luckily his girlfriend was able to stop the car and get him to a hospital. He seemed fine today with a bit of lucky to be alive mentality, following doctor's orders and taking the episode as a wake up call. Heal well Chris! The 7Line Army needs you!
Cheering loudly for a comeback |
Sitting with the 7Line Army is so much fun because everyone is so vocal and into cheering outrageously for the Mets. You can see the rest of the Citi Field crowd feeding off the energy in center field.
