Lets Go Mets! Jon Niese threw 6 shutout innings to win his 9th game of the year. Michael Conforto hit his 8th home run in the second inning. The Mets bullpen only gave up 3 hits in 3 shutout innings, all singles, and walked nobody. I hope they can keep this up.

McFadden's at Citi Field

Before the game I ran into people I knew at McFadden's. I saw Joe, whom I had met at McFadden's in April, we have crossed paths a few times this year. Then my fantasy camp teammate Michael came by with some of his friends. One of them, Kelly said she has been reading my blog and was very complementary about it. It's nice to see people who I've never met, that have been following my journey through this website.

Mets WIN!

Before the game Mets rookie outfielder Michael Conforto was given the Mets' Sterling Player of the Year Award for his Minor League play this season. He then hit his 8th home run of the year in the second inning. He is officially my new Favorite Player taking the place of Ike Davis. David Wright is my favorite player but has reached the level of always being on the list forever. Conforto is now my player I think will have a great Mets career and gives me someone to root for the coming years. Then I will spend outrageous amounts of money on his baseball cards. There has been few players to make this level of my interest. The only ones to fall from the list were Ty Wigginton and Ike Davis.
