I don't know who liked me more, Dalton or Who Dat |
After a great day visiting a gravesite and seeing a long time friend for the first time yesterday, today I made the long 45 minute trip to my niece's house in south east Dallas community of Forney. George and Diane are huge New Orleans Saints fans as I am also. I had not been to their Dallas home or met their son Dalton. He is the same age as my Granddaughter Adalyn. Everywhere I've gone the hospitality has been fantastic and this short stop was no different. We went to dinner at a Japanese place where they cook the food in front of you. It was the first time for me since I had ate at a similar restaurant in Florida during Mets fantasy camp. The food was fantastic and we had a fun time with the chef. My main concern was that it was Sunday. Walking Dead day. I got lucky last week at Kerry/Caroline's as I found out they too were big Walking Dead fans and we watched the show together. I sheepishly said to George and Diane that I had an issue and request to watch. Well, what do you know? They are huge Walking Dead fans also! |
I was lucky Dalton gave him back |
We watched Walking Dead after Dalton went off to bed. Only one episode left before the season is over. I don't know where I'm going to watch next weekend, my scheduled destination is Pennsylvania. I might have to stream the episode onto my laptop. I had a very nice visit with George, Diane, Dalton and the dogs (Luna & Who Dat). They were wonderful hosts and we had a nice evening talking and watching TV. Their guest room was very nice (thanks Amaya). As with everywhere I've stopped so far on this trip I hated to leave to the next destination. |
