PAT TRAVERS

Pat Travers has been rockin' for many years and many albums. He started in the disco/punk era and his brand of blues based hard rock has been a staple of hard rock fans and metalheads since. He is probably most famous for the songs "Crash and Burn" "Snortin' Whisky" and "Boom Boom...out go the lights". He has put out a steady stream of blues CD's over the last few years.

Pat Travers plays with such energy. When I've seen him he just closes his eyes and becomes part of the guitar and it becomes part of him. I have been able to see Pat up close in small venues and in arenas when he was a headlining top act. He has slapped a pick in my hand twice at shows. Some of my favorite Pat Travers tunes are:
  • "Makin' Magic"
  • "The Pain"
  • "PT Nuts/Linus And Lucy"
  • "I Don't Care"
  • "My Life is on the Line"
  • "Misty Morning (In New Orleans)"
  • "It Ain't What It Seems"
  • "School of Hard Knocks"
  • "Blues Magnet"
