Andrea is the youngest member of The Corrs and was still in Secondary School when the band was formed. Andrea’s role in The Corrs is lead vocals, in every song Andrea is the main vocalist, with Sharon, Jim and Caroline on background vocals except for a few songs like No Frontiers which is a duet with Sharon and Caroline. Andrea also plays the Tin Whistle which everyone adores, and sometimes its hard without the many Video’s and DVD’s out there to tell whether its Sharon on the Violin or Andrea on the Tin Whistle as they are often played in harmony with each other, a good example of this is their song ‘At your side’ from "In Blue". Once she was asked why she plays the Tin Whistle and she replied "I play the tin whistle because...I lose so many of them, and they're cheap so it doesn't really matter." Andrea Jane Corr was born to parents Jean and Gerry Corr on May 17, 1974 in hometown Dundalk, Ireland like all of the other Corrs. Her star sign is Taurus, which is my star sign also so we share something in common. Her Natural Hair colour is Black and she has brown eyes & she is 5’11". And unlike Caroline she does not hold a drivers license.
Andrea has also tried her stint in acting with roles in Evita alongside Madonna and Jonathan Pryce. Apparently with Evita Madonna upstaged Andrea so Andrea was only on screen for about 2 minutes of the movie and she completely cut Andrea out of the songs they were meant to do together. She also had roles in The Commitments and Quest for Camelot. In one of The Corrs many tour gigs Andrea had decided to go shoeless on stage and since that day has never worn shoes on stage. One cute moment on stage with her is when she has that teddy bear on stage in Wembly Arena in 2000. And a funny one in "So Young" on Wembly Arena also she stands right behind Sharon smiling, very closely then Sharon looks behind her like "What’s going on!" and see her there and they both smile more. Andrea Corr is regarded by many people in the world as the
sexiest woman in the world and who would blame them? Her seductive voice
combined with her sultry looks and her musical talents is very enticing.
One of her worst habits which she hasn’t out grown is
sucking on her thumb, during an interview she commented on it: "Also,
sucking my thumb comforts me. It helps me fall asleep. If I get tired, the first
thing I do is put my thumb in my mouth. But I don't think it's because I'm
insecure. It's just very comforting and I love it. I can't give it up."
