Biography: Jim Corr  Jim Corr is not as appreciated world-wide as his sisters Andrea, Sharon and Caroline. Is this the most Corrs fans are male? Or that most are female? But most fans seem to favor the girls over Jim. Jim does not have a major vocals position in the band but plays the guitar and the keyboard\piano well, sometimes 2 at once, in Forgiven not Forgotten on Wembly Arena 2000 he was playing the keyboard and then switching fast back to the guitar.

Jim Corr is the eldest Corr of the band being born on the 31st of July 1964 as James Steven Ignatius Corr, first child to Jean and Gerry Corr of Dundalk, Ireland and was raised there like his sister.

He began his musical at a young age like his sisters, he learnt the keyboard at a young age and a little later on in his childhood he learnt the Guitar from a neighbor. Later on in his life he studied music at the Music Academy of Dublin and played in many bands.

Jim has described The Corrs as "The greatest thing since sliced bread" and simply wants to make people happy through his music.

As a child Jim had a tarnished image due to hanging around with the wrong types of people that broke into and stole cars, although Jim has said he never got involved in this he felt dangerous by association.

And while the other Corrs are tucked up in bed Jim can be found checking out all the local nightclubs, Liking the occasional alcoholic beverage as the Irish do.

He also quick witted and funny, like all Irish people, and can keep you in stitches for hours. He even has his own, very amazing pick-up line. He will go out to a girl at the bar or wherever and buy her a drink; he then starts chatting with her about guitars; after a while of chatting to her about guitars he then leans across and, with that Corr charm, says "so can I pluck your strings".

It is amazing that he is so quiet in interviews when he appears to be the most outgoing and the least shy of the bunch.

His earliest memories are of standing on tip toe to reach the keys of the piano in his bedroom. His father, Gerry, recognized Jim's potential and taught him the piano as he did with all of his children.

This began the Corrs long life passion for music which they all have now.

Everyone who has seen that cross around his neck has wondered what it was; it is actually an Egyptian cross that stands for Love and Peace.

Jim dislikes cleaning house and can be very cranky when he is tired. He says he is in the Band to make the girls look good isn’t that a bit modest? Jim cannot tell a joke without killing the ending and is still the funniest sibling of the bunch. Jim is very interested in philosophy and is very greasy about the band “The Police”.

"I really do hope that we can create our own niche. But when I'm asked to describe our music, I always say that it's modern with an Irish influence, because the Celtic vein runs through everythin”
