Mutant Soldier Records
Mutant Soldier Records was formed in 2001 to help promote Cleveland Metal, Punk and Hardcore bands. The label is owned and operated by musicians in Cleveland bands themselves. MSR's first release, a 7" by Victory Flag released in February, is close to selling out it's first pressing. They hope to follow up on this success with their next release, "14 Hits From The Pit: A Compilation From Cleveland's Underground" due out this Fall. The CD will feature songs by 13 Faces, 66 Crush, Abdullah, Basement Love Underground, Bazooka Proof, Brother Phoenix, Dirt, Domestic Violence, Environmental, Gatlin, Pit, The Healers, No Blindfold and Victory Flag. It will also feature artwork by legendary artist, Jeff Gaither. A full-length release from Victory Flag is also in the works and a second "Hits From The Pit" is already being discussed! The label is also putting on a series of Showcases along with ClevelandRock.net to promote the Compilation. The first being April 27th at The Revolution with Bazooka Proof, The Healers, Brother Phoenix and Victory Flag. The next being June 15th at The Hi-Fi with Victory Flag, Domestic Violence, Endless (PA), Bazooka Proof and The Bedroom All-Stars. Plans are being put together for a 2 day release show in October featuring almost every band, giveaways and all kinds of craziness!
