URBAN disciples was formed in early October, 2000 by songwriter/vocalist/guitarists Kevin Jarvis and Will Hawksworth. The other members of the band, Alberto Leal (Percussion), Ben Muresan (Keys) and Richard Jaworski (Bass), were added slowly but surely with the help of Windsor's New WI Speaker's Corner, like the mix of any great recipe. The band then immediately went to work on the songs Kevin and Will already had written and they were ready to introduce themselves to the world (or the five or six people they would usually play for).

The URBAN disciples title themselves as a pop/rock/alternative band made up of Christians with a message for all. The band loves to play live, put smiles on faces and a warm message in hearts. The URBAN disciples are full of fun, energy and faith which is surely evident in the music they write and the message they relay. Currently, the band is working on their first official CD at Ross Recording Studio in Windsor which will be titled "Changes", named after the first songs on the album. It is planned to be ready for release before January, 2002.
