King Cake Babies -- Do You Have Yours?
The baby represents the Baby Jesus and traditionally, the baby is baked into a King Cake and served during Carnival season. Whoever gets the baby is king or queen for the day (and brings the coffee cake for the next day!) In some krewes, the King Cake is used to choose the king or queen of the season. A bean is sometimes used in more traditional circles, but here at killerrubboard.com, we like the babies.
