Masochistic Devil Worship (Pagan~2002)
I donīt have a copy of this albumīs lyrics, but one look at the cover and a quick scan of the song titles should give you a good idea of what this Polish band is about. With tracks such as "Ultimate Satanic Sacrifice", "Bitchmaster" and "Whipstruck Orgasm", itīs no surprise to hear a couple tracks of women crying and screaming in terror. While I can do without some of the crude theatrics, I find the music to be quite enjoyable. This blackened thrash/speed metal band whips through each song with intensity and fire. The songs and performances are crafted with as much subtlety and finesse as the album title itself, but thereīs always room in the metal kingdom for good, old-fashioned pedal-to-the-floor insanity. The guitars and drums attack you at a hectic pace, and while there isnīt much complexity or variety, these guys clearly arenīt looking to be progressive visionaries, just a down-and-dirty metal band.
