bow wow,born shad moss ,on march 9,1987 in columbus ohio,started his rapping venture at the tender age of five.But he soon got his big break at a snoop dogg concert.snoop dogg had asked for people to come up on stage to perform , so shad's mother's boyfriend raised his hand for him.shad says that he didn't really want to go up there at first , but eventually he did(under the name gangsta kid)...and all i can say is that a star was born and that history had been made.

Snoop had been so impressed with shad that he offered him a gig to open up for him for the rest of the tour!!!snoop also changed his name from gangsta kid to lil bow wow,and that's been his name ever since...

A few years later bow wow hooked up with so so def records after a A&R showed jermaine dupri a tape of one of bow wow's perfomances.J.D. says that when he first heard about it ,he didn't really want to deal with it,but after he saw bow wow's tape he just had to sign him.regardless of the doubt that J.D. had against bow wow he two remain close,J.D. even bought him a diamond and platinum mickey mouse chain for chrismas when he was twelve.

Before debuting his multi platinum album "Beware of Dog",Bow wow had worked on various projects.including a song on snoop's doogystyle ,the"big mama's house"soundtrack,and a song on the"wild wild west"soundtrack.he also appears in several; vidious of various artist such as:jagged edges "let's get married"remix ,jessica simpson's "iresistable "and snoop dog's"what's my name"video.

Bow wow debut his album"beware of dog"on september 26th 2000.he has sold over three million copies of his c.d.His second album,"doogybag",has sold over one million copies.he has been nominated for the best new artist on several award shows and has won the most requested video on 106&park at the BET awards,among other things.

His first single "bounce with me"topped the charts for 14 weeks.And every song and video he has put out after that has been succesful also.Both of his tours,scream tour one and two,have been successful also.

Bow wow,now at the age of fifteen,is one of the most talented teen rappers to ever hit base.And i wish him all the success as possibly.
