Welcome to "Black Water Music Association"! We are going into month seven of our existance. Isn't it exciting! During the course of November, expect to see the layout of all our pages change (one by one). This was decided after very little debate and encouraged in part by the great people at hey.nu and help by musical artist 'Binary Dreams'. So say goodbye to "Old and Busted" and hello to the "New Hottness"!

Click here to see what our old home page looked like - and beware - it scares.

Incase you haven't already heard, the purpose of this association is to help support our local music scene and best we can. The idea, we search out for local bands who we believe we can help promote and that could use our help in a postitive way. Since we are based in Atlanta, GA you might notice that many of the bands linked here are from Atlanta, but we offer our services to ALL musicians and fan who might want to use them. You can find links to free downloadable mp3's, downloadable midi, listen to our juke boxes/stations, read intereviews, check out band reviews, talk wit friends in the chat room, talk with other music fans in B.W.M.A.'s music club on Angelfire/Lycos, post photo's of you and your friends in our photo center, leave your mark on our guest map, sign up for free B.W. E-mail, download useful programs, get wallpaper and cool art made by fans for your computer or maybe even get your own fan art posted or linked here.

For musicians looking to be heard we have created the B.W,. Main Forum to help bands announce showdates, cd releases, homepages, find new members, or even start a new band. Also, since we have an Interview & Review section we are looking for new bands to "show to the world" so if you want exposure - just ask. In addition to these services you can get your bands website and free music pages linked here for public viewing. This way your fans can find your page easier and download their favorate mp3s, midi & lyrics by your band. This is to help musicians increase traffic to their page and to help get the word out about their project for those who may be interested. As if that were not enough, B.W.M.A. also maintains several online radio stations. The main station 'Black Water Radio' is deticated to exposing new artist to the B.W.M.A. community. 'Nuclear Holiday' plays electronica like old skool rave, techno, hard trace and happy hard core. 'Rebel Radio' plays all types of punk and ska. 'Red Moon Radio' plays the darker side of the charts such as Dark Wave & Goth, 'Revolutionary Radio' focuses on Industrial. 'Static Radio' is a modge podge of Noise-Fi, Digital Hardcore and the more.Experimental Sounds. If you want to get air play submit your stuff and if it's good you add you to the playlist (no pay to play here). You can tell your friends about your new found glory here on B.W.M.A. with our tell a friend service, or sign up to get your own free web based POP e-mail with us!

So if your a musician or just a fan, it's worth it to come here and take advantage of what we have, and did I mention - it's all free.

What's the Black Water's Hall of Fame? Well, every month 'Black Water' searches for local talent and picks one artist that stands out against all the rest. This site to focuses on the chosen artist for the duration of the month, giving the artist added exposure and often a chance to address the community. The purpose of this is to offer the local scenes all over the world added support, get not so famous bands heard, and to inspire local music groups to really do their best. This site is updated accordingly and our efforts benefit mainly local musicans and you the people. What happens to the bands that don't get chosen as our montly pick? We don't shut them out - they deserve a chance too. We do have 'Black Water Radio' you know. The only reason we even choose, is to give good talent a real chance.

How do you benefit? Beside getting to hear some of the best bands our music community has to offer in interviews and reviews you we also provide you a number of links where to can find out more about them such as bio, history, live show info, cd info and if avalible where you can download free mp3 from bands that are showcased on our site.

Just who is "Black Water Music Association"? We are just a bunch of music loving kids who would like to see the music scene grow. As you can imagine our financial source's are limited, so don't expect miracles, but we will help your band or musical venture any way we can. We would like to see more than just what the major record labels and radio stations have to offer, so if your overworked and underexposed, then SPEAK UP! Our members are constantly looking for new band to add to our link lists, stations, jukeboxes, and for interviews. We ask anyone interested in helping, donating links, webart or html, joining B.W.M.A., or volenteering any "one time effort" what so ever, to please step forward. If you want to volunteer but don't know how you could help, just contact and we will think of way you can participate because there's plenty of stuff to do here. If you want to help and know what you interests are, that works to.

I have seen the site, is this all? By no means have we finished reaching the objective of what we want to do. Incase you aren't aware, it take time to 'spread the news' and to attract people that are interested in what we are doing here. Their is a ton of other stuff we would like to offer here at 'Black Water' of course we need people to help us do it. The bottom line is, the more volunteers we have and people we have that are interested in this idea, the faster things will get done and the more combined knowledge we will have to offer to our audience.

If you are interested in helping the cause, write us via e-mail or post a message on our main forum and we will think of a way for you to help.

Notes to the future: Right now our literature about what we are doing is distributed mainly in the local Atlanta Area and on the web. However we plan to create flyers in black and white (where to location is non-specific) and post them on our website in a number of file formats. This way those interested in supporting th cause can print these flyers out and hand them out to friends or have avalible for customers if you own a music store or record shop. If you are a band who is linked to our site you can also hand these out at shows to help people find you here. There will be more soon. This site was updated August 7th 2003.

Thank-You Patrons for Visiting :)

Black Water needs you to help us choose music for our Juke Box.

Help us make our Stations & Juke Boxes' the best on mp3.com We need people to help us listen to and suggest which bands out of the ton that are avalible on mp3.com that we should add to our 'Juke Box'. If your interested please leave us a post on the message board or contact us via e-mail. If you know of a band that we should feature on our 'Juke Box' but they are not listed on the mp3.com website, just send us the band name, URL & E-mail address. If they don't have either of these, any other way we could contact them would be O.K. too.
