Biography / Discography:
NAKATOMI are Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van der Driesschen aka DJ Danski and DJ Delmundo from the Netherlands. The vocalist is Karen Carpenter Jr.
In fall 1995 they released their first song "Free" which sounded like "Rainbow In The Sky" by DJ PAUL ELSTAK, which was very successful at this time in the dutch charts. "Free" also entered the charts but wasn't a big hit.
In summer 1996 this should change with their new song "Children Of The Night". "Children Of The Night" went on place no. 2 in the dutch charts and was NAKATOMI's biggest hit. The single included also a b-side called "Fukatsu Vibes".
At this time there was a little competition between NAKATOMI and LIPSTICK about who of them both are the biggest happy-hardcore act of that time.
In fall 1996 they released their last song "Sing" which also could enter the dutch charts but couldn't reach the position of "Children Of The Night". This single also included some b-sides called: "A Song" and "See You In Court".
In 2002 there was a rerelease of "Children Of The Night", called the QFX-Remixes.
