Let There Be Glory And Honor And Praises Let there be glory and honor and praises-- Glory and honor to Jesus, Glory and honor, Glory
and honor to Him. Let
there be glory and honor and praises— Glory
and honor to Jesus, Glory
and honor, Glory
and honor to Him. Let
there be glory and honor and praises— Glory
and honor to Jesus, Glory
and honor, Glory
and honor to Him Glory
and honor to Him Glory
and honor to Him. ~James and Elizabeth Greenelish
If you're old enough to say remember that song The Byrds sand in the sixties: "For everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season turn, turn, turn." Their lyrics came right out of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3. There is a 'time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance." (Ecclesiastes 3:4) So what is the appropriate attitude for Sunday morning worship? Is there a time to laugh, as well as a time to cry? Jesus says we are to worship Him in Spirit and Truth (John 4:23). In other words, we don't have to choose. It's not "either, or" but "both, and". A sane, thoughtful and prayerful encounter with the living God brings a smile to His face. But so does passionate rehearsal of His faithfulness expressed with the emotional faculties He created in us. Simply put, worship requires both honor and glory. The key is being alert to what seems appropriate and then responding accordingly.
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:23 E:mail- longlac2001@yahoo.ca Clubs or Groups: http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/comfortoflife/
