Lucas Speer was born in Clifton, Texas on March 24, 1980. He was raised in the small rural town of Walnut Springs and has been singing ever since he
has been old enough to walk. However he did not start performing professionally until he was 15 years old. Lucas started out by performing on many of the local
Country Opry shows in Texas such as the Cross Timbers Country Opry, Burleson Jamboree, and the Country Love Theater. At the age of 17 he had the
opportunity to perform on the Grand Ole' Opry House stage during a national Starbound Talent Competition.
Around this same time Lucas continued to perform locally and started playing regularly as a Rhythm Guitar player and doing some singing with the Walnut
Springs band. In 2001 he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to further pursue music as a career and landed a regular gig at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and Robert's Western World, two of Nashville's
most famous clubs down on Broadway. During Fan Fair that year Lucas entertained many Country Music fans from around the nation during his performances at Tootsies.
He later returned back to Texas to continue playing in his home state. Lucas still performs professionally throughout Texas proudly singing his own style of Traditional Country Music.
He has a new self titled album that has just been released and is available for purchase from this website. It has been selling extremely well
and has even received some radio airplay! The CD contains covers of some great Country Classics as well as Lucas' own original country song titled "I May Never Get Over You".
