Regine: Does
size matter?

REGINE Velasquez cannot understand why writers who interview her are
forever concerned about her lovelife when she herself is not worried
at all. We’re just concerned you might end up a spinster, someone
tells her. “Thanks, but for me, kung may darating, di darating,” she
says.
What is she looking for in a man anyway? “Basta I don’t like a
doctor, because he’s always on call. I also don’t like a politician
or a military either because they’ll have little time for you. Okay
sa’kin ang lawyer, or even someone from showbiz, basta he has a
stronger personality than I have.”
Does he have to be well-endowed? “I don’t know. Does size really
matter?”
Newshen Tessa Castillo stresses: “Of course! If it’s small, you
won’t be satisfied.”
Regine laughs so loud. “Naku, very intimate na tayo. Sex na'ng
pinag-uusapan natin.”
Her role in “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” projects her as an
aggressive woman who’ll even go to the extent of stalking the man
she loves. Is she capable of doing that in real life?
“I don’t know. I haven’t really found anyone who has the looks of
Richard Gomez, the wit of Martin Nievera, the personality of Ogie
Alcasid, and the talent of Christopher de Leon. When I find someone
like that, ako na hahabol sa kanya.”
When Ariel Rivera guested on “SOP” to plug “Narito ang Puso Ko,” it
is obvious that they’re now in very good terms. How about Janno
Gibbs? “Ariel and I are really okay now. But with Janno, I don’t
know. He’s the one who doesn’t warm up to us in ‘SOP,’ eh.”
Aside from promoting “Pangarap,” Regine is now busy taping new
episodes of “Search for A Star” which will now be shown on GMA-7.
“We’ve got an even better batch of contestants now so it’s even more
exciting,” she says.
