Do you need help with getting tools, getting materials, getting speakers to go in your cabinets or just don't know where to go, this section helps you out with those problems.

Okay you need tools to build your speakers and you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on saws, drills, and other tools wheel you have two options you can either by pre made cabinets(which are usually MDF medium density fiberboard) or you can rent tools and make wooden cabinets. I prefer the wooden cabinets because you can stain them and you get the really nice wood grain, but they take time and if you don't have tools they usually cost more to make. Also when you buy the pre made cabinets you usually have to put veneer or laminate. Parts Express also offers pre made sets that come with everything and the cabinets are already finished. If you've decided to make wood cabinets then your probably gonna need at least a circular saw to cut the wood a jig saw to cut out the holes for the speakers. You might also want a drill pilot holes for the nails and screws. A table saw is also a good tool because it allows you to rip the wood and get a more accurate length and width. If you want to rent tools to build your speakers home depot rents out tools. You should also check out you yellow pages for tool rental. If you going use pre made cabinets then the instructions should tell you the tools you need. If your gonna get the pre made cabinets or the pre made kits you should check out the links page and check out those sites because they sell the kits and the laminate. If your building them out of wood then you can also get accessories from those sites.

You also want to know where to go to get the wood for your speakers. You should go to Homedepot or Lowes or another place that offers hard woods. When buying the wood for your speakers you should check the quality of the wood is it dented, is the face of the wood damaged, if you going to stain the wood do you like the grain. Make sure your satisfied with the quality of the wood because if your not then you probably wont be satisfied with the speakers you build.
