The Asbury Jukes were born from this seaside amusement
                  park. Below you will see the park in various stages to the
                  present when 2 days ago, May 26, 2004, the wrecking ball
                  began the demise of the Palace and Carousel.  A new board-
                  walk has been constructed however, and Madam Marie's shanty
                  still stands.  The Stone Pony still has entertainers, Bruce
                  and the E Street Band, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes,
                  Bon Jovi, Joe Grushecky and the House Rockers, Soozie Tyrell
                  and The Soozie Tyrell Band, and many more, that go back and
                  sing up a storm.  The Convention Hall is being preserved and 
                  Bruce and his band usually do a Christmas show there.
