TABLE OF CONTENTS PAGE
Starting June of 2003, The Toast of New York is establishing the following CD Libraries that will allow our members to have a better understanding of the audio qualities of the various CD Projects that are being listed.
General Library The general library is the main CD library for ToNY's current holding of CD's prepared by it's members. It is where all new approved CD projects are posted, unless they are found to meet the requirements of the more restricted libraries. (It is hoped that ToNY members will undertake the upgrading of CD's in this library, so that they meet the requirements of the Premium Library. As that upgrading is accomplished, CD's in this library will be moved to the Premium Library).
Premium Library – This library is established to hold those CDs projects which have all tracks done from transfers meeting the requirements for computer aided restoration, but on which no restoration has been accomplished. Generally speaking, transfers that qualify are those from high quality source records with careful attention to the sound quality details and other attributes needed by restoration software. See details in the Technical Topics section . (As ToNY is able to provide the restoration effort to fully restore CDs in this library, they will be moved to the Restored Works Library.)
Restored Works Library – This library is for CD projects on which full audio restoration has been performed.

Something new has been added: A Toast Of New York message board.
Here's where you can propose a new project, inquire as to the status of projects, ask general interest questions of the group and just generally kibitz about old records!
