Alex is a British collector who spent years accumulating rare 78s, mostly of 1926-1936 material, and then seems to have spent more years transferring much of his collection to mini disc. At my urging, Alex has started digitally transferring his mini-Discs to CDR, and made them available to us.
The following are the contents of the first 14 Mds, which come out to 28 CDRs!

Hudson, Nat Star, Jay Whidden, under all their various pseudonyms. (Labels
like Broadcast, Edison Bell Radio, Sterno, Imperial, Winner, )
I'm keen on bouncy 20s hot dance, and things like Anson Weeks and Jimmie
Grier radio tracks, Adrian Schubert, Melotone, Hit of the Week, ARC bands,
Edison Needle Cut (B.A. Rolfe Lucky Strike Orch) Ben Selvin and Fred Rich....
I will probably be lynched and hung by the other British collectors and
dealers for this, but I prefer to see things circulated rather than sold and
lost for ever. (Which is what happens all the time to priceless tests,
collections and rarities...)
