Well, after a long hiatus due to the school year, the webmaster is back fiddling with the site. Not too much is different so far, but I changed the opening page's picture earlier this summer and added directions to the East Hartland and Warehouse Point parades (As if you didn't already know how to get to WHP!) FYI, the front picture will probably change again since I've been going through more recent pictures.
I also added the picture of me to this page, so you know who you're yelling at when all the ads pop up as you browse the site. I made the site for free on a whim. You get what you pay for.
Contact info is also updated, as Bob Wallek assumed the position of Director some time ago.
Stay cool, Katy

I just fixed some stuff on the links page, so now all external sites open in new windows. Oooh baby.

Text of email from Denise:
To all -
I stayed around for the awards ceremony yesterday after the parade. We won 1st place for senior fife
and drum corps. Still a great accomplishment, but there was only one other senior fife and drum corps
there. However ............... to my surprise and great pleasure we recieved........BEST OVERALL
MARCHING UNIT!!!!! This is over all the high school bands, pipe bands, and other fife and drum corps, both
senior and junior!
After staring this season on such a shaky note, I think it's great that we ended on such a strong and
loud one!! I want to thank you for participation and dedication. We should all be proud of ourselves. I
look forward to seeing all of you at our first meeting and I will bring the awards with me then. In the meantime, Terry took pictures which I will forward to all of you soon.
Thanks again!!
Denise

It's been a busy summer for the Warehouse Point FDC (and this webmaster!). We had fun times at Windsor Locks, Warehouse Point and Broad Brook parades, even winning Best Musical Unit Runner-Up at Broad Brook!
I've also gotten a lot of pictures, so thank you very much to everyone. Unfortunately, I haven't put any up due to a combination of finishing up projects at work, starting school again, moving, and losing access to photo-editing software in the process. So, photos will be up in the near (hopefully) future.
The Company and FIFEandDRUM.com both reciprocated our links since my last post, and the increase in traffic is already noticeable. Neat stuff.
Included in that increased traffic is a parade offer for October 2 in Lee, Massachusetts (off exit 2 on the Mass. Pike). Decision is still pending. If you have any comments or want more info, contact Bob W.
Rock on, Katy

Well, the site is starting to pass around the members of WHPFDC at least, and all the comments have been positive so far. Please send along any suggestions (for both style and substance) either by email or by signing the guest book.
I am still looking for pictures to put up on the site, so if you have any, please email a jpg file to warehousepointfdc@hotmail.com or get a copy to me that I can scan (again, email to coordinate that, please!) Of course, I will give credit where credit is due.
Other things I would like to include on this site eventually include minutes of our annual meetings, perhaps the treasurer's report, a complete member list, and of course more links!
We discussed attending DRAM at our last meeting (29 June 2004). It looked as though most wanted to march in the parade. If we don't do that, some people (Denise, Alicia, etc.) will be down there anyway, enjoying themselves!
I'm still waiting for The Company and Fife and Drum.com to link back to us. I guess their webmasters are just like me...very busy! Also, if you link to us, let me know, and I'll link to you.
We are still accepting new members. Fifers and drummers are both welcome! Can you guess? Email us if you're interested.
Cheers, Katy
