"We are carriers of the Gospel, not entertainers in display of our talents.  Both are gifts of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.  Our actions are seen by people, but our motives are monitored by God."  - Franklin Graham "All For Jesus"

Dave and Gale Lowe are a gospel/bluegrass husband and wife duo in the Champaign-Urbana area.  They have been married for nearly 29 years.  It's amazing what a good woman will tolerate.

Gale's vocal style reflects her Kentucky birthplace and the music she listened to as a child.  She loves the old time gospel songs like "Mansion Over the Hilltop" and "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown?", but she also loves the bluegrass style and feels that is what her voice is best suited for.  If you see Gale, she's probably singing!

Now, what can we say about Dave?  He has loved the bluegrass sound since childhood.  Dave plays a finger-style guitar.  His style is similar to the Carter Scratch.  Along with his guitar skills, Dave also works on his mandolin technique and is learning the banjo.

Dave and Gale both feel that God has called them to sing and play for anyone who will listen.  Their prayer is that they are a blessing to all who hear.    They are available to play in your coffee house, church, festival, or anywhere you feel their talents would bless your audience.

Psalm 33:1-3

"Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.  Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.  Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy ..." (NIV)

Isaiah 12: Songs of Praise

"In that day you will say: 'I will praise you, O Lord.  Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me.  Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.  The Lord, the Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.'  With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.  In that day you will say: 'Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.  Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.  Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.'" (NIV)
