Finland's SUNRIDE recently spent time in the studio recording their third album, "The End Justifies the Means". The following update was posted at the group's official web site:

"Not-so-good news this time. The scratch disk of one of the computers in the studio broke around a week ago. This incident caused the fact that some files from our already-95%-ready-album disappeared (yes, from both safety copy and original copy...) and we had to head back to the studio a few days ago and re-record everything that was missing. Which was some guitar tracks as well as all percussion. Better news are that now everything's re-recorded and if anything, the album sounds even better than before. We are currently putting final mixes to the record and then master it...should be ready in a week. Cover art, track listing and everything else is ready too...we will post some samples on this site soon."

"The End Justifies the Means" is tentatively scheduled for release in February/March 2005 through People Like You Records. A video for the first single, "Waiting For the Grace", will be shot later this year.

The follow-up to last year's "Through the Red", "The End Justifies the Means" was recorded at Seawolf Studios (AMORPHIS, THE CURE, HANOI ROCKS) in Helsinki, Finland and features a guest appearance by SWALLOW THE SUN's Mikko Kotamäki on several tracks.

As previously reported, SUNRIDE will record a DOZER cover for an upcoming SUNRIDE/DOZER picture seven-inch single where each band will record a cover song from the other group. A Scandinavian tour will likely take place in April, to be followed by a European trek in May.
