Ashland, Kentucky up-and-coming high-energy hard rock band Hydrogyn are the latest metal act to sign with Desert Rock Promotions management company.

The band is made up of knockout vocalist Julie Westlake, the blistering guitar team of guitarists Jeff Boggs and Jeff Westlake, the low end king bbassist Jason Fields and drummer extraordinare Jerry Lawson.

Hydrogyn is currently melting speakers and taking no prisoners during their live shows and are at the moment touring the Eastern United States to packed venues in support of its new cd, “Best Served with Volume”.

In a true marriage of two popular arts, Hydrogyn has released a new single called “Vesper’s Song,” inspired by a recently released graphic novel, “Vespers,” written and illustrated by NOW Comics’ founder and author Tony Caputo. A music video of the single is also in the early stages of development.

Hydrogyn is currently endorsed by Pepsi, Budweiser and Off The Rim (Racing Apparel) companies.

Band vocalist Julie Westlake will be featured in a new column titled "Julie Jolts" that will appear via Electric Basement webzine in late February 2005.
