The 7th Circle saga began in 1994....
Five musicians from the region of Antwerp in Belgium started the band 'Henry V'. In a first attempt to play progressive rock, a demo was recorded and some gigs were played.

After a few years it seemed that the musical differences between drummer Kris Van Meel and the rest of the band were an obstacle to their continuing development. As a result, Kris left the band.

After a very quiet period, the remaining members of 'Henry V' came back together in 1998 and renamed the band '7th Circle'. Old material was reviewed and new songs were written. Dirk Verbeuren, cousin of guitarist Sam Oerlemans and drummer for the French band 'Scarve', was brought into action as interim drummer to record the album 'Collective Minds'. The recording resulted in a much more mature sounding piece of work.

After the release of the album, Peter Leppens (vocals) left the band. Tony Lemmens (keyboard), Jasper Van Tilburgh (bass) and Sam Oerlemans (guitar) started the search for a new drummer and singer. Martial Bonnetain was chosen for the drums and Winnie Versmissen for the vocals.

With the two new members, the band was completed and rehearsals started on a weekly basis. Old songs were adapted for female vocals and new song were written. Some gigs were played. The most significant one was the support act for Evergrey in April 2002 at the Biebob.

After a period of live performances, preparations were made for the recording of new songs. Some of these songs will soon be available on demo, which will then be used as promotional material for record labels and organized events.
