Abhoth was one of the earliest Swedish deathmetal bands. They were formed in 1988 under the name of Morbid Salvation Army, though they changed their name into Abhoth that same year. The very first line-up included Joakim Broms who left in 1990 to form Afflicted (that was named Afflicted Convulsion before). They renamed in 1999 to Chimera. But they didn't last for long after the renaming - for they broke up while being in the studio.
