DISBELIEF are known for years as the best German Death/Extreme metal band and were able to establish themselves better from album to album.

Their first two albums 'Disbelief'(1997) and 'Infected'(1998), which were more orientated in traditional death metal led DISBELIEF to a soild fan base, also powered by European tours with Six Feet Under (1997) and appearances on the Dynamo- and Wacken Open Air.

The big breakthrough came in 2001 with their third album 'Worst Enemy'. Press celebrated this album with highest rankings, a.o. Hammer 6 of 7 Pts., Rock Hard 9,5 of 10 Pts. (10 x Dynamit), Heavy oder was? 11 of 12 Pts., Legacy 15 of 15 pts.

The band had really developed their sound, created an unique mixture of extrem metal in the vein of Neurosis or Voi Vod combined with pounding death metal like Bolt Thrower, topped by Karsten Jäger's diabolic voice. Due to the label change to Massacre Rec. DISBELIEF were for the first time present all throughout Europe.

After the sensational feedback (a.o. high rankings in Rock Hard's and Legacy's reader's polls) the time was right for a follow-up: 'SHINE', the fourth album is now ready to be released. The band's even more unique, brutally grooving DISIBELIEF smash us ten new tracks, which even top the outstanding forerunner! The sheer power and almost virtual depression of tracks like 'No control', 'The Decline' or 'Me and my world' leave nobody unimpressed.

The first press reactions promise the same glorious results as for the previous album. And this time DISBELIEF will support the release with two Europe tours: First they joined the BOLT THROWER tour in February followed by the NO MERCY festivals in April and several festival-gigs in summer.

The time is right for one of the most original and innovative German bands, that delivered with 'SHINE' the first brutal highlight of 2002!
