Self-reliance and musical integrity are two principles which Dying Fetus have always lived by. The band formed in 1991, during the height of the death metal explosion of the early '90s, and have matured into one of the premiere extreme death metal/grind-core acts ever to come out of the massive global metal underground. The band is recognized worldwide as a prime example of songwriting perfection, combining an innovative mix of technical virtuosity and catchy song structures to create the ultimate blend of death metal, hardcore, and grindcore. Intensity unparalleled, and musical power unrivaled, they are the leaders of the new generation in extreme music. Their sounds and lyrics are a brutal response to the everyday stress and pressures of reality in our age, while also providing the ultimate escape from it.

- First album "Infatuation With Malevolence" (a compilation of the bands demo material from 93-94), self-released, promoted and distributed. Dying Fetus toured the East Coast, and performed and represented death metal as a genre on a panel at the CMJ music convention, Lincoln Center, NY.

- Second album "Purification Through Violence", released simultaneously in America on Pulverizer Records and in Europe on Diehard Music Worldwide. Dying Fetus embarked on their first North American tour, hitting 25 cities with Canada's Kataklysm and Florida's Monstrosity in July and August.

- Third album "Killing on Adrenaline", released worldwide simultaneously on Germany's Morbid Records and in the USA through the band's own label, BLUNT FORCE Records. Dying Fetus did a 9 week, 52 date North American and European tour, hitting 12 countries from Denmark to Spain and Belgium to Poland. The band performed dozens of festivals and promotional undertakings, including co/headlining shows such as the Milwaukee Metalfest, Montreal Metalfest, German Morbid Metalfest, Ohio Deathfest, and the Superbowl of Hardcore. Dying Fetus also appeared in hundreds of national and international magazines, and hundreds of interviews in the international press. In addition, the band also appeared on dozens of compilation cds, and consistently did radio and internet activities in coordination with mailorder and distribution.

- out of print "Infatuation with Malevolence" reissued with extra tracks. The new version of the 93-94 demo collection includes 3 live songs from Germany recorded on the 1998 European tour, as well as one demo track not part of the previous edition of the cd. It also has new artwork and is available exclusively through the band's own label, Blunt Force Records.

- "Grotesque Impalement", a 6 song EP available in both cd and limited 12inch vinyl versions. The band again played festivals such as the New England Hardcore and Metalfest, and the March Metal Meltdown II. DF also returned to Europe and played in Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic. Included in this trip was a headlining spot at the Fuck The Commerce Fest III in Germany. The band hit the road till the end of 2000, including tours supporting Destruction and Vader.

- "Destroy the Opposition", released in September 2000 through Relapse Records. In December, Dying Fetus hit Europe once again with Morbid Angel, Enslaved, The Crown, Behemoth and Hypnos as part of the annual X-Mass tour.

- Dying Fetus did tours with All Out War, Diecast, Skinless, Gorguts, The Berserker, and others in support of Destroy the Opposition. Also band lineup changes occured as Jason, Sparky, and Kevin all left the band. Dying Fetus reformed with Sean, Erik, Vince, and Bruce for summer tours, and recorded a new single entitled "Vengeance Unleashed."

- Dying Fetus continued touring, including shows in Japan with Sodom, as well as a headlining tour of Europe with Monstrosity and Howitzer. The band also appeared at the Wacken Open Air Fest, a highlight of their careers as they played in front of 20,000 screaming German fans. Bruce (guitar) parted ways with Fetus and the band played as a four-piece for most of the year, until Mike Kimball relocated to Maryland to join the band in October.

- "Stop At Nothing", released on May 13 through Relapse Records. The band went on a seven-week spring tour in the USA with Hate Eternal, Kataklysm, and Into Eternity, including shows with Goatwhore. (An unfortunate van accident caused Hate Eternal to leave the tour after 13 shows, but Fetus fronted the rest of the dates.) The band went on their own headlining US/Canadan tour in July through August, along with Skinless, Divine Empire, and Misery Index. During their stop in Atlanta at The Masquerade, Fetus filmed their first video, for the song "One Shot, One Kill". Fetus also played their first show in Puerto Rico in November.

- Fetus went to Europe in January for a tour postponed from September 2003 (with Hate Eternal). The six-week tour featured 31 shows in 16 different countries, and included Deeds of Flesh and Prejudice in the lineup. Fetus have kept busy this year, playing many short tours and fests with bands such as Suffocation, Burnt By The Sun, The End, and Malamor in the US and Canada. Fetus returned to Europe in June to play four shows with Malevolent Creation, including Fury Fest in France and Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium. Fetus have also been working on new material in between all this year's live appearances. The video for "One Shot, One Kill" finally became available for airplay, and was added to Yahoo Launch.
