Formed in the early spring of 1999, Canadian quintet THE END (Aaron Wolff - vocals / Steve Watson - guitar / Andrew Hercules - guitar / Sean Dooley - bass / Anthony Salajko - drums) formed and immediately began writing material. With the simple intention of making good music, the band had wrote their first four songs which were released as an untitled demo in May of '99.
THE END began performing live in the southern Ontario hardcore / punk rock scenes, and, in September of '99, after gaining immediate recognition for what has been called 'one of the most intense live shows ever' the band set out on their first tour. The 2-week stint along the east coast of the US, established a following of loyal THE END fans -- a following which would continuously expand, becoming an empire in the coming year and a half.
The End returned from the road and used the time to further their live performance and experience while fine tuning their complex, rhythm driven sound. After receiving offers from respected labels, the band decided to stay as relatively independent as possible and released their first CD recording on the Ontario label, Re-define Records. Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient (TTRfP:FO) is THE END's first full release, and one which has indeed pushed the limits of 'rock' music.
A seamless marriage of manic ferocity and indescribable density, THE END craft startlingly intense, memorable songs that demand repeated listening. Technically brilliant and schizophrenically non-repetitive, THE END merge spiraling guitars, baffling rhythms and paranoid electronic ambience, exploding in a frenzy of turgid strangulations and hypnotizing time signatures. Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient is a strikingly diverse display of passionate, articulate heavy music.
