Farmakon was formed in April 2001 in Tampere. We started out as a project to compose and record three songs during the summer. We wrote the songs, rehearsed and entered studio in the end of July of 2001. After 30 hours of work in the studio, our first demo was ready.
After the studio we decided to continue our project as a full band since we were all pleased with our demo and our style of music. We have been working on new material and rehearsing since then. In the summer 2002 we made our second serious recording, My Sanctuary In Solitude in the same studio where we made our first demo.
We made a deal with Elitist Records in September 2002. The contract is for 4 full-length records. Right now we are aiming to start the recordings of our first album in January or February of 2003.
